Ground Zero is Tidewater’s premier
modern rock band. Coining the phrase, “21st Century Rock”,
they have hammered away at the normal limits of modern rock and
concocted a mix of modern rock, funk, a few 80's tunes, and original
music to serve up to the party-hungry following that they have
developed. Ground Zero is currently playing a circuit of
clubs on the Peninsula, honing their chops and preparing to record a CD
of original songs, which will be distributed at gigs.
Ground Zero formed in April, 2001, with the intentions of
playing great music and having some great times with some great friends.
Ground Zero is made up of three local players and a vocalist
from the mid-west, forming an eclectic mix that has played everything
from hard rock, heavy metal, funk, and modern rock. This interesting mix
incorporates crunching guitars, thundering bass, pummeling drums and
lush vocal harmonies to deliver an array of music styles that will leave
everyone satisfied.
